December 9, 2008 - Halfla/Recital - 7:30 pm. - Allison-Jukebox Community Center - Doors open at 7 pm. Come enjoy a night of belly dance celebration as belly dancers and fans come together for a night of dance! This is free so bring everyone and get into the holiday spirit with some belly dance. Calypso's Pearls will also be there.

October 18, 2008 - Wizard Rock Returns! - 8 pm. - Rhino's Youth Center - Wizard Rock is music written about and for the Harry Potter universe. Bands will often take on the persona of a Potter character when writing their songs. Tonight, the Pearls join Rhino's Youth Center in celebrating the joy, fun, and good music that is Wizard Rock. DDBD, along with Calypso's Pearls, will take the stage and perform as "The Dancing Veelas"! Not only are we dancing, but the bands Tonks and the Aurors and the Chinese Chomping Cabbages will be there as well! Join us for a night you that will be sure to put a smile on your face! Admission is $5 per person.

September 27, 2008 - Indy Pagan Pride Day - From 1:30-2:15 pm. - Indy Pagan Pride Day provides the opportunity to learn about paganism and the Pagan Community. This fair hopes to eliminate prejudice and fear and celebrate religious freedom. So of course we have to be there!! Plus, Calypso's Pearls, will be going us for some great dancing. See you there!

August 30, 2008 - 4th Street Festival - 3:45 pm. - This is a Bloomington tradition and we are proud to say we have become part of that tradition! 4th Street Festival is a celebration of arts and crafts and shows the many talents of artists from around the country. Come and enjoy the sites, sounds, and shopping that 4th Street has to offer. Come for some belly dancing too!!

August 14-17, 2008 - Gen Con Indy 2008 - The BEST Four Days in Gaming! - Booth: Full Event! - Performance: Before the Saturday Costume Contest - We Will Post Our Con Schedule Here Soon - Huzzah! This will be our fifth year dancing at Gen Con Indy!! We love this event! What could be better than joining with the gaming community from around America and the world! Of course, belly dancing has to be involved. Our big performance will be before the Costume Contest on Saturday, 3:30 pm with smaller performances throughout the con. Come visit our booth in the Exhibitors Hall, take some classes, and dance, dance, dance! Don't forget to game as well.

July 19, 2008 - BHRG Flatliners vs. Derby City of Louisville, Kentucky - Sportsplex - Bloomington, IN - Bout starts at 7 pm - DDBD performance time is coming!! - We are so back!! We love the Bleeding Heartland Roller Girls Flatliners and can't wait to help the audience celebrate their favorite team! Come and enjoy a great night of entertainment: roller derby and belly dance! What could be better?!

June 20, 2008 - Tribal Revolution 2008 - Hafla in Holiday Inn, Elk Grove Village Ballroom in Elk Grove Village, IL - 7 pm. - Teri and Jeana will be dancing at the Hafla, sharing their love of dance and music.

May 20, 2008 - Belly Dance for Every Body! & Advanced Belly Dance Hafla/Recital - 7:30 pm. - Allison-Jukebox Community Center - A hafla is a belly dance party and all are invited. Come see our students show-off what they've learned. Plus this will be the first performance of Calypso's Pearls!!!

April 13 , 2008 - Hatje's Hafla - A Benefit for Middle Way House - 6-9 pm . - Max's Place, Bloomington, IN - Our lovely friend Hatje hosts this event to celebrate belly dance, her birthday, and raise money for Middle Way House. Join us for fun, food, and supporting a wonderful cause! And friend. ;)

April 10 , 2008 - Batchelor Middle School Multicultural Fair - 5:30 - 7:30 pm. - Batchelor Middle School, Bloomington, IN - This fair celebrate the many cultures of the world and in found in Bloomington, Indiana! Come see us perform and teach.

March 8 , 2008 - Franklin College Family Weekend- Multicultural Dance Extravaganza - 6:15 pm. Chapel - We will be helping Franklin College celebrate ethnice dance. There will also be ethnic goodies and beverages to enjoy.

February 29, 2008 - Tribal:Pura Gala Event - 8 pm. John Waldron Arts Center - DDBD and the Bloomington Area Arts Council will once again host Tribal:Pura. This event includes a gala dance performance and two days of workshops. The workshops are on American Tribal Style Belly Dance given by Carolena Nericcio and Megha Gavin. Don't miss this event!

February 9-10, 2008 - Gothla US - The Conjuring - 1:40 pm. The Imperial Ballroom, Fullerton, CA - Our very own Jeana will be performing at this event!! If you are in Southern California go see her and the other amazing Goth belly dancers.

December 4, 2007 - Recital/Hafla for Semester Classes - 7:30 pm. Allison-Jukebox Community Center - Our classes will perform at this event. It is free and open to the public. Come watch our wonderful students, friends, and ourselves dance! There will also be belly dance items for sale thanks to Donna Barbick who vends for Audrena- The Belly Dance Store .

November 23, 2007 - Holiday Squeeze - 5:30-7 pm. John Waldron Arts Center - Join us as we celebrate the holidays with other Bloomington area performers. This event will warm you up so you can see the lights being turned on in downtown Bloomington.

November 10, 2007 - Morgan County Public Library Demonstration - 1:30 pm. - We will will perform, talk a little about the history and significance of belly dancing and then teach the audience a few basic moves. We are excited to be bringing our love of belly dance to Morgan County.

October 13, 2007 - Eroticon - Doors open at 9 pm; Group Performance at 11 pm; Jeana solo at 1:30 am - This is a special gig for DDBD because this is the gig that started it all. Join us and other fun shows for this fall tradition.

September 22, 2007 - Bleeding Heartland Rollergirls vs. Arsenic Annie - Sportsplex -Bloomington, IN - Bout starts at 7 pm - DDBD performs at 8 pm - YES!! Bloomington has its own rollergirl team, the Bleeding Heartland Rollergirls. The BHRGs have honored us by asking us to be their entertainment for the half-time show. May 18, 2007 - Belly Dance Hafla Benefit for Middle Way House with Live Music & Dancers!! - Starts 7 pm - Join us in supporting Middle Way House with live music from Salaam and belly dancers from around the area. This event will be held at Max's Place, so you can also get some great food!

April 14, 2007 - Bloomington Renaissance Faire - All Day - Performances Noon, 2 pm, & 3:30 pm - Join us for the Renaissance Faire in Dunn Meadow on the Indiana University campus. We will have several performances with a Renaissance feel, as well as having a henna and tarot reading booth. Ren Faires are a joy so come on down.

March 2, 2007 - Bloomington Belly Dances - 8 pm - Join us at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater for a dancing event as belly dancers perform for the Bloomington community.

October 14, 2006 - Doors open at 9 pm - Eroticon - It feels like tradition! We will perform a set of exciting songs picked just for this event. Join us at The Tapp on Walnut in Bloomington, Indiana for a night of tantalizing experiences.

September 23, 2006 - 8:30 pm - The Durga Tour - This tour brings Goth, Sacred, and Experimental Belly Dance and Beyond to Bloomington, Indiana on September 23rd &24th. September 2, 2006 - 12:15 pm - Fourth Street Festival of the Arts - The Fourth Street Festival of the Arts & Crafts is a Bloomington tradition and we are honored to be dancing on Saturday!

August 24 2006, 7:30-9:30 pm - Performance Time: 8:30 pm- CultureFest - In the IU Arts Museum - Welcome back students! CultureFest is an IU tradition celebrating food, dance, and the arts. Come visit DDBD in the IU Art Museum.

August 19, 2006, 10 am - 1 pm - Indiana State Fair - Join us as we dance to celebrate the arts with Indiana University. We will be dancing several sets between 10 am - 1 pm at the Indiana University Boulevard.

August 10-13, 2006 - Gencon in Indy - We will be belly dancing this year at Gencon like never before! See us at Wednesday night registration, giving workshops, dancing throughout the halls, and OF COURSE dancing before the Costume Contest on Saturday. This year we are makign a special salute to vampires and even Joss Whedon. Come and join us!

April 15, 2006 - 11 am - 6 pm - Bloomington Renaissance Faire - Bloomington is having its first Renaissance Faire in Dunn Meadow on the Indiana University campus. Join us for several performances with a Renaissance feel. Join us for a full faire day. Our performance times are: Noon, 2:30, and 4:30 pm on the Main Stage.

November 16, 2005 - Arabian Nights - This event will help raise money for the Heart of Sailing Foundation. Heart of Sailing teaches sailing to cognitively impaired children. It is a branch of the inernational organization “Au Coeur Des Voiles.” Margaret will be dancing at this event with some of her Performance Belly Dance class students.

October 15, 2005 - Eroticon - The ever popular Bloomington event is back and we are happy to participate. (Eroticon was Stimuli for a while). Join us at Axis in Bloomington, Indiana for this fabulous event.

October 7, 2005 - 7:30 pm - Helping Hips: A Bellydance Benefit for the Hurricane Relief Effort - Some members will be performing solos and giving their support to this cause. Join us and help our country men and women rebuild their lives.

September 10, 2005 - 11 am - 1 pm - Heartnut Festival, Johnson County, IN - Some members performed in this festival with other regional dancers. It is an enjoyable, outdoors family fun festival and we hope to be invited every year.

September 2, 2005 - 6:30 - 7:30 pm. - Waldron Instructor Show - This event showcases the instructors at the Waldron Arts Center. Margaret, with various DDBD members, has been teaching beginning belly dance for a year! Visit the Rose Firebay for a demonstration of some Bloomington belly dance talent.

September 1, 2005 - 6:30 pm - REACH - Butler University, Indianapolis, IN - REACH stands for Reaffirming Ethnic Awareness and Community Harmony. Once again we will be demonstrating traditional cabaret and American Tribal Style belly dance, as well as demonstrating how these styles work with modern music. Let the reaffirming begin!!

August 20, 2005 - 2:30-3:30 pm - Gencon in Indy - Indianapolis, IN - Hyatt Regency Hotel Ballroom - Yes we will be back at the "Best Four Days in Gaming", once again dancing before the Costume Contest to science fiction/fantasy/horror/ and gaming themes. (Yes, we are family oriented and friendly.) AND since this is a gaming convention, if you can guess the titles of all the songs in our show we will post your name on our Web site!! We'll even post your name if you get most of the songs as we are sure you won't be able to get them all. Plus you just might also get a lesson on how to shimmy like a belly dancer as part of our performance!

July 9, 2005 - Allerton IL Belly Dance Caravan Festival 2005 - This is the first ever Allerton Festival and we will be performing at the Friday night Hafla (8:00 pm) and teaching two workshops on Saturday (Basic American Tribal Style and Dancing to Rock'n'Roll). Join us and other great belly dancers for this exciting weekend. Contact Benazir or Amira for more information.

June 18-19, 2005 - Jubilee Olde English Faire - Jubilee College, IL. - See us perform in the Dance Circle at 1 and 4 pm both days. Plus we may even give you a few lessons. Speaking of lessons don't forget to visit us at our booth - Mother Henna - for some Tarot readings, henna painting, fantastic hair pieces, and dance lessons.

February 25, 2005, 7-9 pm - Diversity of Dance Festival - Unitarian-Universalist Church, Bloomington, Indiana - The Unitarian-Universalist Church celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a program highlighting dance from around the world. This festival also marked a first for DDBD as it teamed-up with Tribal Bloom Belly Dance to form Different Bloom Belly Dance.

February 19, 2005, 7:30-11:30 pm - Mardi Gras - kidscommons 2nd Annual Fundraiser - 'A Taste of New Orleans' by Chef Gethin Thomas, Manifest Blues Band, Entertainment, Dress for Comfort & Fun, The Commons Centre, Columbus, IN. We will be helping Columbus, Indiana raise money for their very own Children's Museum!

January 17, 2005 - Martin Luther King Day - 4:00-4:30 pm - Diversity Festival at Bloomington Playwrights Project - Come join us celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We will be dancing to many songs that we love and are diverse!

October 29, 2004, 12:30 am- 10th Anniversary Erotic Arts Ball, Indianapolis, IN - The event producers begged to see our choreographed rendition of "Voulez-vous Coucher Avec Moi, Ce Soir" ("Lady Marmalade" Moulin Rouge rendition) again! We are happy to oblige! This milestone anniversary event spans three levels of a huge 1890's gothic revival building in downtown Indianapolis.  The evening features a juried art show and exhibition, performance art, two bands, a DJ, and Indy's first public underground dungeon. Tickets are on sale now.

August 21, 2004, 3:30 pm- Gencon in Indy - We will be dancing before the costume contest at Gencon in Indy! Be there to see us at 3:30 pm on Saturday. Look for a fantasy/science fiction theme to our dance and costumes! Come and join us!
We Have A Winner!! Oscar Rios - Self-Titled "Nerd Hubby to a New York Egyptian cabaret & American Tribal Dancer" won our Gencon Contest! Oscar was able to name all of the songs in our set and where they came from. Congratulations Oscar!! Goth Gig 2004 - Bloomington, IN- This gig was the brain child of Molly - the Little Goth Girl herself. We all wanted to do it and loved it!! A friend offered his porch looking over Downtown Bloomington and we rocked the building down!

June 19 - 20, 2004 - Jubilee Olde English Faire, Jubilee College, IL. - We'll be there all weekend at the Mother Henna booth, and we'll be performing! Stop by and see us and get your fortune told and your body hennaed! (Oh, and buy some lovely stuff!)

April 4, 2004 - Belly Jam in Cincinnati, OH. This is an excellent belly dance gathering pulling in people from all over the U.S. We were asked to dance, and that was a GREAT HONOR! Click here for more information about Belly Jam.
