Workshop Schedule for Tribal:Pura Bloomington 2008

Day 1 - Saturday, March 1

8:30 am Doors open for Registration

9:30 – 10:00 Belly Dance Aerobic Warm-Up
30 minutes - Taught by Carolena & Megha

10:15 – 12:15 True Tribal Basics & Tribal Combinations
2 hours - Taught by Carolena & Megha

12:15 – 1:45 Lunch and Shopping
You will have time to get lunch and shop at our vendor tables.

1:45 – 3:45 Drills for Leading and Following
2 hours - Taught by Carolena & Megha

Day 2 - Sunday, March 2

8:30 am Doors open for Registration

9:30 – 10:00 Temple Dance Stretch
30 minutes - Taught by Carolena & Megha

10:15 – 12:15 Improvisational Choreography
2 hours - Taught by Carolena & Megha

12:15 – 1:45 Lunch and Shopping
You will have time to get lunch and shop at our vendor tables.

1:45 – 2:45 The Trick to Spins and Turns
1 hour - Taught by Carolena & Megha

3:00 – 4:00 Zils!
1 hour - Taught by Carolena & Megha

Vendors

The following vendors will at the workshops:

  • Audrena's has been adoring belly dancers for over 30 years. They have everything from music to swords, to harem pants to full costumes.
  • Magical Fashions has an extensive variety in bellydance costumes from saris, banjara cholis, skirts, salwaar-kameez, lehnga, cholis, jewelry, hand bags, home decor and other bellydance a ccessories.
  • Mythdemeanor creates clothing for the alternative aesthetic. Each item is hand crafted and unique.
  • The Red Camel specializes in jewelry and textiles from the Middle East, North Africa, India, and Central Asia.
